Pieces with a second life, redesigned in the studio.

The store began with my mother, my twin brother and a rail of clothes in Wellington, South Africa. Saturday mornings were my favourite part of the week — I would observe the faces passing by while we sold pieces one by one.

What could not be sold as it was, was taken apart in a back room and made into something worth keeping. That habit became the store: a sewing machine, unwanted coats, and the belief that every garment deserves a second life.

Nothing here is mass produced. Seams are opened, linings replaced, hems reset, panels rebuilt from two garments into one. Repairs are left visible because they are part of the piece.

If something fits almost right, it can be altered in store. Bring in your own garments for repair or redesign as well.
